PMR446 - Licence exempt radio equipment
A range of portable radios operating on the UHF licence exempt band.
Most of the major manufactures have equipment available, we currently
keep stock of the Icom, Kenwood, Motorola and Vertex units.
Icom
Two models are available, one a conventional analogue unit the other
with the latest digital technology.
IC-F25SR

The IC-F25SR is the successor to the best selling IC-F22SR and retains
the simplicity and functionality that made the original so popular.
However, there have been some dramatic improvements, including a
stronger construction to withstand rigorous usage. The IC-F25SR is also
5% lighter weighing only 300g. For the security conscious there are
2-types of optional voice scrambler units available giving advanced
security when required. To top it off, the IC-F25SR includes a large
capacity, Lithium-Ion battery pack (2000mAh) as standard to provide an
incredible 26.5 hours of operating time.

IC-F4029SDR

IC-F4029SDR is compliant with ETSI TS 102 490 and EN 301 166-2
specifications. Unlike other models on the high street, the IC-F4029SDR
is truly a professional transceiver. It shares the basic electrical and
structural design with the IC-F3022/F4022 series of PMR radios. However
with the introduction of the latest 6.25kHz ultra narrow digital voice
technologies, the IC-F4029SDR bring users better communication
versatility and quality because of digital clarity, razor sharp
signalling performance and less congested dedicated digital PMR
channels. With fantastic sound quality and great features this product
will create new dimension in communications for commercial and private
users alike.

Vertex
VX-146

The VX-146 is one of the latest models in the Vertex Standard range of
high quality, cost effective handheld transceivers for the European
PMR446 service.
It is PC programmable with the ability to configure all features and
functions for downloading into the radio. PC configurations can be saved
on the PC for security. The VX-146 can be very simply cloned in the
field using the optional CT-27 clone cable, ensuring easy and rapid
deployment if required.
